Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

This role supports the paint production team by independently performing powder coating applications and ensuring smooth operation of the powder line. You prepare and handle parts before and after coating, maintain equipment and documentation, and help keep production flow aligned with established quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret customer blueprints to correctly identify, mask, and plug specified features on production parts.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, cleaning, and other pre-coating activities.
  • Perform powder coating applications and support daily powder line operations such as masking, hanging, palletizing, and staging.
  • Hang production parts on the chain line and remove them after processing in the cure oven.
  • Remove masking and plugs from parts exiting the cure oven to prepare them for inspection and further processing.
  • Use diagnostic equipment appropriately to verify coating quality and ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Inspect painted products for quality, confirming that they meet customer and internal standards.
  • Manage inventory of paint, coatings, and related supplies to support continuous production.
  • Maintain equipment and documentation in line with quality standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Execute routine housekeeping to keep the department clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with supervisors, leads, and co-workers to support production goals.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work overtime when needed to meet production demands.
  • Maintain responsibilities related to the ISO 9001 system as defined in the Quality Manual and procedure-level documentation.

Work Environment

The role is based in a shop and production environment with industrial ovens and heating equipment running continuously. You work in conditions that can include moderate to high noise levels, with some areas exceeding 85 dB, and exposure to dusty powder, heat without air conditioning, and cold temperatures. The position involves significant physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and a mix of sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder, climbing, driving, and pushing/pulling as part of daily tasks. Work is performed on weekend shifts, with openings split between an AM weekend shift (Friday through Sunday) and a PM weekend shift (Friday through Sunday), each operating on extended hours. Until the paint line weekend staffing is fully established, weekend work may be structured as a single 12-hour shift from midday to midnight Friday through Sunday before transitioning to separate AM and PM shifts. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required, and attire should be suitable for an industrial shop setting with exposure to dust, heat, and cold.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
