SurfacePrep is seeking an experienced industrial sales and business leader to drive the growth of our industrial job shop and surface finishing services business. This role is responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, managing commercial strategy, forecasting demand, and aligning production capacity with customer requirements. The ideal candidate has experience selling or managing industrial manufacturing services such as surface finishing, blasting, vibratory mass finishing, powder coating, deburring, plating, polishing or related production processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth and commercial strategy of SurfacePrep's Production Finishing Services business, driving revenue, profitability, and market expansion across key industrial markets including aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and general manufacturing.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers, prospects, and industry partners to identify new applications, expand existing programs, and increase Production Services utilization.
  • Partner with sales, operations, and customer teams to align demand forecasts, production capacity, quality requirements, and customer expectations while ensuring successful execution of service programs.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, revenue forecasting, and business planning process through CRM insights, market intelligence, and customer engagement to support growth.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement new service offerings, manufacturing capabilities, and market opportunities that strengthen SurfacePrep's competitive position and expand customer value.
  • Support commercial negotiations, service agreements, and contract development while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive profitable growth.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to field sales teams through customer visits, plant assessments, application reviews, and solution development activities.
  • Represent SurfacePrep at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows while monitoring market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial sales, business development, manufacturing services, product line management, or a related commercial leadership role.
  • Experience with surface finishing or related manufacturing processes, including blasting, deburring, mass finishing, electropolishing, plating, anodizing, powder coating, painting, or similar industrial applications.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive revenue within industrial markets.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and CRM management skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven professional with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 40%.
