Job description

Job Summary:

The Powder Coat Helper assists in all aspects of the powder coating process, supporting the team to ensure parts are prepared, coated, and finished to quality and safety standards. This entry-level role is vital to maintaining an efficient workflow and clean, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparing parts for powder coating (e.g., hanging, masking, cleaning).
  • Support team members in moving parts through the coating line.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleanup at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are returned to their designated areas after use.
  • Help monitor powder application for consistency and alert Lead/Guide of any issues.
  • Load and unload parts from ovens, racks, or conveyor systems as directed.
  • Assist with quality checks under supervision (e.g., identifying visible defects).
  • Communicate effectively with team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Be punctual, dependable, and ready to work each day.
  • Display a willingness to learn and take direction from Leads, Guides, and Managers.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 100 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of safety and cleanliness in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to grow within the role.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test, and breath alcohol.
