Essential Job Duties


Chicken House Litter Clean-Out


* Operate equipment and machinery inside poultry houses to remove used litter.

* Push and load chicken litter into tractor-trailer trucks for transportation. Chicken House Bedding Installation

* Operate spreader trucks and other equipment to install fresh bedding materials, such as wood shavings or sawdust, throughout poultry houses.


Pullet Vaccinations


* Administer vaccinations to pullets. Depopulation Operations

* Euthanizing birds with gas and loading them onto a tractor-trailer truck with a conveyer for proper disposal. Pullet Transportation

* Catching and loading pullets from a pullet farm and transporting and unloading them at the hen house at an egg farm. Qualifications

* Willingness to perform physically demanding labor in commercial poultry houses.

* Ability to work in hot, dusty, humid, and noisy agricultural environments.

* Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

* Willingness to learn new skills and operate agricultural equipment.

* Ability to follow safety procedures, biosecurity protocols, and supervisor instructions
