Job description

Energy Panel Structures, Inc., an industry leader in commercial and residential construction, with headquarters in Graettinger, Iowa, and locations in Perryville, MO, Geneva, NY, and Urbandale, IA. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, EPS is seeking a Inside Sales & Estimating Specialist - Hog and Poultry to join our team at our Perryville, Missouri facility.
As an Inside Sales & Estimating Specialist - Hog and Poultry, the employee will support the sales and estimating process by preparing accurate project estimates, developing pricing, and coordinating building orders for swine and poultry construction projects. This role serves as a primary point of contact for assigned dealer accounts, working closely with customers, District Sales Managers, engineering, and production teams to ensure projects are quoted accurately, communicated effectively, and delivered successfully. The ideal employee is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and organized, with a strong understanding of construction practices and estimating principles. This individual demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills, collaborates effectively across departments, and is committed to delivering high-quality service while supporting the success of EPS dealers and agricultural producers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely estimates for swine and poultry facilities.
• Interpret building plans, layouts, and specifications to support project quoting.
• Assist dealers with material take-offs and project estimates.
• Develop pricing and scopes of work for swine and poultry construction projects.
• Serve as the primary inside sales contact for assigned dealer accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPS dealers and their crews.
• Assist with organizing and creating EPS dealer information packets.
• Correspond with EPS District Sales Managers regarding projects, estimates, and customer needs.
• Coordinate with outside sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate building orders, deliveries, and general customer service activities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and timely responsiveness throughout the sales process.
• Understand and follow all applicable corporate safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in the swine, poultry, agricultural, or post-frame construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of general construction practices, procedures, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and perform material take-offs.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and estimating principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and estimating software.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or related CAD drafting software is helpful but not required.
• Associate degree from a technical school, a degree in Construction Management, or equivalent construction and/or estimating experience is preferred.
