Hourly bonus potential of up to $3.00 per hour
Additional $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd Shift
HOURS: Monday - Friday, occasional weekend work
2nd Shift 3:30 pm - 12:00 am or upon completion of assigned work (start times may vary depending on position)
Job Summary
As a General Production Team Member, you will help make and package chicken products in a safe and clean work environment. Team members may work in different areas of the facility based on business needs. This role is important to keeping production running smoothly while following safety, quality, and food safety standards.

What You'll Do
As a General Production Team Member, you will help process, package, and prepare chicken products for delivery to customers. Depending on your assigned area, your daily tasks may include:
  • Packing chicken products into trays, bags, and boxes for shipment.
  • Sealing, labeling, and stacking finished products to meet customer and quality requirements.
  • Sorting products and removing items that do not meet company quality standards.
  • Working on processing lines, including whole bird, wing-cutting, debone, and other production areas.
  • Using tools, equipment, and knives safely in designated positions.
  • Supporting product flow by moving materials and products through different stages of production.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing reusable containers, equipment, and work areas to maintain food safety standards.
  • Handling and disposing of inedible materials according to company procedures and environmental guidelines.
  • Assisting in distribution operations by sorting customer orders, building pallets, and loading products onto trucks for delivery.
  • Monitoring product quality and reporting any concerns to supervisors.
  • Following all food safety, quality, animal welfare, and workplace safety policies.
  • Working closely with team members to meet daily production goals and customer demand.
  • Rotating different work areas as needed to support production and staffing needs.
  • Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe throughout the shift.

Work Environment
  • Work in cold temperatures, typically below 40°F, to maintain product quality and food safety.
  • Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions, including water, ice, and cleaning processes.
  • Stand and walk for most or all of your shift on concrete floors.
  • Perform repetitive tasks using your hands, wrists, and arms throughout the day.
  • Work around moving production equipment, conveyor belts, forklifts, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include hairnets, beard nets, hearing protection, gloves, smocks, arm guards, safety glasses, and steel-toe footwear based on the position.
  • Work in areas where poultry products are processed, packaged, stored, and prepared for shipment.
  • Follow strict food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation procedures always.
  • Communicate and work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and customer demand.
  • Overtime, weekend work, and schedule changes may be required during peak production periods.
  • Some positions may require working with knives, cutting tools, or powered equipment after proper training.
  • The production environment can be noisy and requires constant attention to safety and quality standards.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
