Poultry Production Associate (Tender Cutter)

Incentive Pay Available - Up to $200 Per Week!

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tender Cutter to join our team. This role requires strong knife skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and productivity. As a Tender Cutter, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive poultry products that meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Cleans, trims, slices, and portions medium and jumbo chicken tenders according to customer specifications.
  • Inspects products for defects, bruising, blemishes, and overall quality.
  • Reads, understands, and follows all customer-specific cutting, sizing, and packaging requirements.
  • Uses knives and other approved tools to trim and portion poultry products accurately and efficiently.
  • Separates chicken products and byproducts into designated containers.
  • Weighs products and places them in the appropriate containers for further processing.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Follows all GMP, PPE, SQF, USDA, food safety, and company safety requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knife skills and poultry processing experience required.
  • Working knowledge of production equipment and processing procedures.
  • Ability to portion poultry accurately and consistently while meeting customer specifications.
  • Ability to minimize product loss through accurate cutting and trimming techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to trimming, sizing, and product utilization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
  • Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated production environment throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive cutting, trimming, gripping, and reaching motions.
  • Ability to work 8- to 12-hour shifts.
  • Must be available to work scheduled shifts Sunday through Friday, including overtime as required.

Performance Expectations

  • Employees are expected to demonstrate continuous improvement throughout the training period.
  • All Tender Cutters are expected to achieve a minimum production rate of 150 pounds per labor hour by the end of Week 6 while maintaining safety, quality, yield, and customer specifications.
  • Daily and weekly performance reviews will be conducted to monitor progress, provide coaching, and ensure understanding of performance expectations.
