Line Technician/Maintenance Operator

Kraft Heinz CompanyMason, OH

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Line Technician to work in our Liquid pouch production area in Mason, OH. Successful candidates must be willing to contribute improvements suggestions and ideas to help continue the success of our facility. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality orientated along with demonstrate adaptability and willingness to work in a team orientated, fast paced work environment. This position requires individuals to perform specialized production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. Currently hiring for M-F 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11pm) Weekend work possible depending on customer demand

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • History of safe work practices.
  • Candidates must be available to work all shifts including second, third & weekends and holidays
  • Applicants must be able to perform and train self/others on basic mechanical skills, mechanical repairs and overhauls, maintenance systems, computer skills, new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance, problem solving/troubleshooting, etc. where skills are not at the required level
  • Electrical experience high-voltage 240 volts minimum 1 year
  • Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Must be able to maintain and operate all equipment in assigned area
  • Demonstrate successful application of problem-solving techniques, effective communication and planning
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Outstanding attendance record.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to call out defects and adhere to Quality standards.
  • Achieve qualified score on job skills assessment, to be administered after receiving a passing interview score

Work Schedule:

Job Overview:

Are your ready to join a high-energy, fast-paced team of dedicated operators who help to produce nearly 190 million lbs. of your favorite sauces every year?

As a Line Technician you'll be a part of a dedicated team who operates and is a first responder to machine breakdowns. These machines make anything from ranch to syrup which will be enjoyed by 1000's of consumers nationwide.

Responsibilities & Duties-

May include, but isn't limited to:

  • Setup, Start-Up, Adjust and Operation of Equipment; Proper Shutdown, Sanitation & Changeover as required to Kraft Heinz standards and to minimize downtime
  • Perform all required quality testing/checks and complete all required documentation and paperwork for department operations: Quality (QRMP), Sanitation, Safety, etc.
  • With Maintenance assistance, troubleshoot basic electrical equipment, maintain and improve electrical control systems, and complete work orders
  • Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance Planner, Maintenance/Production Leadership, any corrective/preventative maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality
  • Utilizing maintenance windows; perform preventive maintenance inspections on all focus line equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Department to prevent and/or correct mechanical or electrical breakdowns. Participate in the development of a documented 52-week maintenance plan
  • Develop and implement improvements using the Break Down Elimination (BDE) process to prevent reoccurring equipment failures
  • Utilize system to document Maintenance activities, order parts, and develop work orders
  • Recording and documentation as required by manual, computer and other systems.
  • Ensures documentation is accurately completed using QRMP guidelines
  • Manage all supplies associated with the lines following up on excessive loss whether vendor or mechanically driven. Ensure supplies are accounted for and returned in a timely manner.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
