Job description

Job Summary
The medical technologist performs a wide range of moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory assays, evaluates validity of results obtained, troubleshoots equipment and/or testing problems, performs and reviews quality control and preventive maintenance, accurately reports results and performs other duties as assigned. The nature of the work may vary depending upon the workload and the assigned duties. Performs established tests and procedures under the supervision of supervisor and interprets and reports test results as accurately as possible to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Medical Technologists may perform duties in one the following areas: Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, RIA/Serology, Urinalysis, Coagulation and Microbiology. Perform lists and studies for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Work Schedule: Evening Shift. This Position is 4 days per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

  • Bachelor's degree in clinical/medical laboratory science? OR? Bachelors in some other field of study AND completion of a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science program? OR? MT-HEW certification will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
