Job description

Studio team members are the face of our company! They greet the customers and make sure they have the best experience possible. As a studio team member you will work independently or in a team, greeting and instructing customers, checking out customers and tracking orders, scheduling parties ad events, running children's parties and adult groups, keeping the studio clean and beautiful, stocking and maintaining merchandise displays, organizing and stocking art supplies, unpacking inventory, and many other tasks as assigned
PRINCIPAL FUNCTION
Customer Service
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Load and unload kilns
2. Stock shelves
3. Clean tables
4. Keep paints in order
5. Organize and clean stamps
6. Organize and clean paint brushes
7. Clean floors in studio, backroom and party room
8. Keep Studio clean, and dust free
9. Restock supplies (paper towels, soap and so on)
10. Clean windows
11. Assists customers with painting and ideas
12. Keep studios and back room organized
13. Check out customers
14. Collect finished items and give back to customers
15. Match finished orders together
16. Complete daily sales logs and reports
17. Answer phones
18. Book Parties and Reservations
19. Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance, by wearing the Naked Plates Studios uniform (see uniform matrix) and name badge.
20. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma
  • 18 years of age
  • Minimum of one (1) years related experience preferred General working knowledge and interest in Paint our Own Pottery and like activities.
  • Strong communication
  • Customer service skills to handle challenging situations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work extra hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and functions while maintaining a low personal stress level.
  • 10. Physical Requirements: Bend, stoop, crouch, climb, stand, sit and turn/pivot; Lift/lower, push, pull and carry up to 40 lbs; perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, typing, and/or word processing, filing, calculating and use of telephone; See, hear, and speak with sufficient capability to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions.

  • Friendly and attentive to customers
  • Willing to learn and follow directions
  • Be able to work with little or no supervision
  • Enjoy cleaning and organizing, be thorough about completing tasks
  • Have good phone and verbal communication skills
  • Be comfortable working with pc and mac: have basic computer skills
  • Be able to multi task and manage time well
  • Be comfortable talking to strangers and large groups of people

This position does not involve any pottery painting, custom work or other employee created art work. There will be no time for homework, painting, reading, or any tasks that are not related directly to the work at Naked Plates Studios during working hours and scheduled shifts.
Schedules are somewhat flexible, but more hours are required during holidays and school breaks.
