Job Description
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Certified Nurse Midwife, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Burien, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Women's Health cases making a significant impact on their lives and families. We pride ourselves in practicing high quality, evidence based, and patient centered medicine.
You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate CNM, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex OB/GYN patients, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
  • This position will be based at our West Seattle clinic location with inpatient coverage at St. Anne Hospital in Burien, a 156 bed Level III Trauma Center.
  • Our Midwife team provides full scope midwifery care including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, GYN, annual exams and family planning.
  • There are two OB/GYN physicians and two CNM's based at this location.
  • The weekly schedule is variable and typically includes two 8 hour clinic shifts and one 24 hour hospital/call shift in a 7 day work week.
  • Midwives manage patients for hospital births and support in house OB backup.
  • Hospital culture is supportive of midwives and offers pain control options of nitrous oxide, IV meds and epidurals.
  • The state of the art birth center has 22 beds and there is 24/7 in house Anesthesia coverage.
  • St. Anne has a 6 bed Level II Special Care Nursery capable of caring for infants as young as 32 weeks.
  • Our partner facility, St. Joseph Medical Center has a Level III NICU and is in close proximity for transfers if needed. We also have a partnership with Seattle Children's for specialty newborn care if needed.
  • Our group does approximately100 deliveries per month.
Job Requirements
Required
  • CNM Certification
  • Washington State RN and APNP licensures required at time of employment
  • DEA, NPI and prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Health Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
