Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

The Live Analyst supports Farmer Focus live operations by providing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, inventory oversight, and cost management for poultry production activities. This role partners closely with Accounting / Finance leadership, live operations team members, growers, vendors, and business leaders to deliveraccuratereporting,identifycost-saving opportunities, strengthen financial controls, and support data-informed decisions that improve operational performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assistwith the development of the annual budget and recurring forecasts related to live operations costs in collaboration with Accounting / Finance and operational leadership.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report costs related to poultry production, including feed, live operations labor, grower-related expenses, vendor costs, and facility expenses.

  • Identifycost-saving opportunities, trends, risks, and variances, and provide recommendations that support profitability, efficiency, and operational improvement.

  • Oversee and supportaccuraterecording, reconciliation, and reporting of growers' inventory, including live chickens, feed, and other poultry-related materials.

  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate live operations performance, including cost drivers, production trends, inventory activity, and key performance indicators.

  • Preparetimelyreports, dashboards, summaries, and presentations that translate financial and operational data into actionable insights for management.

  • Support compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls, company policies, and industry-specific requirements related to poultry farming and processing.

  • Work with the Financial Controller and Accounting / Finance leadership to support, guide, and develop accounting team members through training, process improvement, and day-to-day partnership.

  • Collaborate with growers, live operations team members, vendors, and executive leadership toprovidefinancial insights that support strategic decision-making.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Accounting / Finance and live operations business needs.Ad-hoc Accounting as needed.

Compensation

Compensation:$65,000-$75,000annually

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or a related fieldrequired; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

  • Relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, or operations analysisrequired; experience in poultry, agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, or live operations preferred.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.

  • Ability to analyze large data sets,identifytrends, prepare clear reports, and communicate financial insights to operational and executive audiences.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Officerequired;experience with ERP, accounting, business intelligence, inventory, or live operations systems preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with growers, vendors, live operations, Accounting / Finance, and leadership teams.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, financial systems, spreadsheets, and business reporting tools. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule based on business needs and leadership approval. Travel to farms, vendors, and other Farmer Focus locations may berequiredas needed. Farm and operational visits may require walking, standing, driving, and following applicable biosecurity, safety, and PPE requirements.
