Description
Postdoctoral Associate will be working in an experimental lab, performing data collection, analysis, and modeling of behavioral and electrophysiological data.
Applications are invited to apply for a statistical data analysis postdoctoral position.
  • The position is funded by an ongoing NIH grant and focuses on elucidating the mechanisms of spatial navigation using multi-area recordings in monkeys in the context of VR tasks. as well as a freely moving arena.
  • A significant component of the work focuses on training animals and collecting both behavioral and neural data using an array of tools with a focus on telemetry and wireless recording.
  • The work will also include developing new statistical data analysis tools for behavioral and neural data.
  • More broadly, the postdoc will be part of a large and intellectually vibrant community of researchers from the Center for Neuroscience at NYU.
  • Regular interactions with lab members and experimental collaborators
  • Timely write-ups of the results in the form of conference abstracts and manuscripts, as agreed upon with PI and collaborators
  • The initial appointment is one year with the expectation of extension contingent on satisfactory progress.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $70,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.
