Position Summary
The laboratories of Timothy Moran, Brian Jensen, and Corinne Keet are seeking a highly motivated and independent Postdoctoral Research Associate to join a multidisciplinary research team investigating the mechanistic links between food allergy and cardiovascular disease. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to translational research at the interface of immunology, cardiovascular physiology, and human disease. The role is ideal for a scientist interested in developing expertise in mechanistic and translational studies of allergic and cardiovascular diseases.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative research environment that includes investigators in allergy and immunology, epidemiology, and cardiology. Responsibilities include hands-on work with techniques such as mouse handling, tissue collection and processing, tissue sectioning, immunostaining, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular biology (e.g., DNA and RNA extraction, qPCR), protein analysis (e.g., gel electrophoresis, immunoblotting, ELISA), and data analysis. Experience with high-throughput transcriptional profiling techniques (e.g., RNA-seq), bioinformatics, and large-scale data analysis is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in immunology, mouse models of allergic and/or cardiovascular disease, and standard cell culture and molecular biology techniques. The candidate will be expected to execute experiments independently and collaboratively, analyze complex datasets, publish scholarly work, and contribute intellectually to advancing project goals.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates should hold a recent or anticipated Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A record of accomplishment in the field of immunology and/or cardiovascular biology, evidenced by scholarly publications, is required. Candidates should have strong communication and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
