Post Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Prediction and Epidemiology ofDiarrheal Diseases Job Summary

The Leung lab (www.globalguthealth.org) in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work on clinical, translational, and epidemiological projects relating to diarrheal diseases, focusing on the development of diagnostic and prognostic clinical prediction rules to improve the management of diarrheal illness. The position may involve international travel to work in collaboration with scientists in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa and Asia. Many opportunities for collaborations, and a mentorship team with clinical, epidemiological, machine learning, and statistical expertise. The position is funded by a grant from the NIH/NIAID (R01AI135114), though opportunities for additional projects in other areas are available according to the candidate's interest. Mentorship will be provided jointly by Dr. Daniel Leung and Dr. Ben Brintz.
