SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations within the airport. This role involves managing a team of janitorial staff, scheduling cleaning tasks, and ensuring that all areas of the airport, including terminals, lounges, restrooms, and public spaces, meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. You will ensure that the team adheres to safety protocols and efficiently uses cleaning equipment and products. Additionally, you are responsible for training staff, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, and coordinating with other departments for any special cleaning projects or requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the janitorial staff
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and routines to maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Inspect areas to ensure adherence to cleaning protocols and quality standards
  • Provide training and guidance to janitorial staff on cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and tools, ensuring they are well-maintained
  • Allocate cleaning tasks and responsibilities to team members effectively
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of janitorial staff, providing feedback and coaching
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all cleaning operations
  • Respond to and resolve any issues or complaints regarding janitorial services
  • Coordinate with airport management and other departments for special cleaning projects and requirements
  • Prepare reports on cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply inventory
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new janitorial team members
  • Implement and maintain green cleaning practices for environmental sustainability
  • Oversee waste management and recycling processes within the airport
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and improvements in janitorial services
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • 3 years of experience in janitorial or cleaning services, with prior supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and health and safety standards
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage and motivate a team
  • Ability to create and manage cleaning schedules and tasks effectively
  • Good communication skills for liaising with staff and other departments
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and supervise a team
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
