Job description

Do you get a little too excited about the feel of a good chenille?

We ship hundreds of fabric and leather swatches every single day to customers dreaming up their next couch. We need someone who can dive hands-first into a mountain of textures, get orders out the door, and keep our swatch stockroom running like a well-oiled (velvet-lined) machine.

If you like tactile, hands-on work, don't mind a little repetition, and enjoy a short drive with the windows down — keep reading.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Picking & packing swatch orders with speed and accuracy (bonus points if you can tell corduroy from chenille blindfolded)
  • Shipping orders out daily — you'll be the reason someone's dream sofa fabric shows up on time
  • Counting swatch inventory regularly, keeping our shelves organized and stock levels honest
  • Daily supply runs to FedEx and the Post Office — paid drive time, and yes, you get to leave the building

Schedule

  • Monday: 12:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Tuesday–Friday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
  • 5 days a week, consistent part-time hours

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Like small, tangible tasks with a clear finish line (pack it, count it, ship it, repeat)
  • Are reliable and don't mind a routine — with a little variety built into the daily drive
  • Have decent attention to detail (mismatched swatches make for grumpy customers)
  • Can lift boxes and stay on your feet for a shift
  • Have a valid driver's license for the FedEx/Post Office run

Why It's a Good Gig

  • Steady, predictable part-time hours
  • Paid drive time — not just a task, it's a paid mini road trip
  • Low-drama, hands-on work with a friendly team
  • You'll become weirdly knowledgeable about fabric and leather grades (great party trivia)
