Overview

We are looking for a reliable Bookkeeping Assistant to handle our daily invoicing, payment processing, and basic customer collections. In this role, you will keep our Excel spreadsheets updated, work closely with our customer service team to ensure accurate billing, and answer incoming phone calls for the accounting department.

Duties

  • Enter and post customer payments (checks, credit cards, and bank transfers).
  • Create and send out customer bills, invoices, and monthly statements.
  • Check billing data to find and fix simple errors.
  • Call or email customers with overdue balances to ask for payment.
  • Help solve basic billing questions or disputes.
  • Keep clean, organized digital and physical files of all invoices and receipts.
  • Update daily office spreadsheets and reports.
  • Help with basic, everyday bookkeeping tasks and other office duties as assigned.
