Description:

SUMMARY OF JOB: Graphic Designer creates aesthetically pleasing images that accompany written text. Creates and updates brand imaging. Uses design software, printers, and a variety of mediums / materials to complete projects. Revises projects based on feedback. Creates visuals for websites, marketing materials, packages, and logos.


REPORTS TO: Ownership

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Management

WAGE: Salary Exempt

SUPERVISES: N/A


DAILY DUTIES:

  1. Ensures that all activities conform to Trexcon policies and procedures.
  2. Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
  3. Communicate effectively and appropriately with all staff members regarding design projects.
  4. Study design briefs and determine requirements.
  5. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
  6. Remains flexible in daily routine.
  7. Support the mission statement and Core Values of Trexcon.
  8. Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
  9. Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
  10. Amend designs after feedback.
  11. Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  12. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.


Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Proven graphic designing experience
  2. A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  3. Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  4. A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  7. Some local travel required - must have own transportation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Requires prolonged standing.
  2. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift at least 55 lbs., carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials.
  3. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching and climbing ladders or step stools.
