Description
The Department of Psychology (Community Health Program) is accepting applications for its Research Associate position.
Examples of Duties
  • Conduct HIV Rapid Tests according to established protocols for the campus community of students, faculty and staff.
  • Conduct confidential pretest and post-test counseling sessions.
  • Recruit and train Peer Health Educators.
  • Support research and evaluation activities under the guidance of the Program Director.
  • Carry out additional project duties as assigned by the Program Director.
  • Collect data and manage databases containing sensitive and confidential information.

Typical Qualifications
  • Candidate must have earned a minimum of an Associate Degree.
  • Candidate must be fluent in the English language and be able to demonstrate effective communication and social skills.
  • Candidate must be able to work with diverse populations on campus and in the surrounding communities.
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable about HIV prevention, counseling and testing.
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team.
