Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Studio Post Production Manager oversees all post-production operations for a photography studio, ensuring high-quality, brand-consistent imagery and video content. This role manages the end-to-end image editing workflow, including color correction, retouching, file management, quality assurance, and final asset delivery. The manager leads a team of digital techs, video editors and retouchers. They coordinate with photographers, stylists, art directors and the marketing design team. They help build new workflows with evolving Ai and CGI content inputs. The role includes ensuring that files are promptly ingested, redundantly backed up, organized, and properly prepared for a smooth transition into post-production. 

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing digital asset management (DAM)

  • Ensuring adherence to brand guidelines

  • Integrate and maintain new tools and systems and collaboration software
  • Directs freelance, agency and overseas retouching resources to complete the required work in the most efficient manner

  • Manages video post-production and editing

  • Creates and maintains a retouching style guide

  • Assures that all assets delivered a properly tagged and cataloged to pull through to ecommerce website

  • Continuously improves the post production workflow including agentic capabilities, automation and efficiency

  • Provides updates and dashboards of project status to partners to assure on-time delivery of assets

  • Manages post-production budget in partnership with production team

  • Consistent delivery of high-quality, brand-compliant imagery.

  • Image quality, technical accuracy, and visual consistency.

  • Speed to market and on-time asset delivery.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates possess strong leadership skills, expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Capture One, generative Ai image manipulation and fabrication, experience with digital asset management systems, Microsoft Office, exceptional attention to detail, project management expertise, and the ability to balance multiple deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. A background in commercial photography, e-commerce, fashion, or retail photography is typically preferred.
