This position operates in a climate-controlled, remote environment, allowing for the flexibility to adapt to changing needs. Daily interactions with fellow healthcare providers and department members facilitate teamwork and collaboration in addressing patient care effectively. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will utilize modern technology to manage patient cases and documentation efficiently, integrating seamlessly into our care delivery model.

• Conduct thorough assessments and, when necessary, diagnose mental health conditions, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to guide care.
• Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that reflect the cultural diversity and unique needs of each patient, ensuring respect and sensitivity to various backgrounds.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation of all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and departmental procedures.
• Employ observational techniques and clinical judgement to continually assess patient progress, implementing interventions that support mental health diagnoses.
• Collaborate actively with patients, families, and other professionals to establish comprehensive, goal-oriented care plans that aspire for positive health outcomes.
• Coordinate referrals and cultivate relationships with external treatment providers to enhance patient care pathways.
• Facilitate education and mentoring opportunities for students and interns, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.
• Engage in peer-to-peer reviews and clinical collaboration with supervisor guidance, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and continuous improvement.

This role specifically focuses on providing care for individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological challenges of a cancer diagnosis. These patients often experience a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders, requiring a tailored approach to therapy that acknowledges their unique circumstances and fosters resilience.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, particularly within outpatient services.

• Experience working with pediatric populations, especially in educational or school-based environments.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions related to trauma-informed care and chronic illness.
• Proficiency in utilizing digital health tools and electronic health records (EHR) systems to manage patient information efficiently.

Kennebec Behavioral Health Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
