What is a post construction cleaner?

Post construction cleaners are professionals who specialize in cleaning buildings and spaces after construction or renovation work is completed. Their job involves removing dust, debris, paint splatters, and other residues left behind by construction crews. They ensure the property is clean, safe, and ready for occupancy or final inspection. Post construction cleaning often involves detailed work, such as cleaning windows, fixtures, floors, and surfaces, to transform the space into a move-in ready condition.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a post construction cleaner?

To thrive as a Post Construction Cleaner, you need attention to detail, physical stamina, and knowledge of cleaning best practices, typically supported by experience in commercial or construction site cleaning. Familiarity with specialized cleaning equipment, industrial cleaning chemicals, and safety protocols such as OSHA standards is often required. Reliability, time management, and the ability to work independently or on a team are crucial soft skills. These qualities ensure thorough, safe, and efficient cleaning of construction sites, meeting client expectations and regulatory standards.

What are the main challenges faced by post construction cleaners on the job site?

Post construction cleaners often encounter heavy dust, debris, and leftover materials, which require specialized equipment and attention to detail. Navigating unfinished or partially completed areas can present safety hazards, making adherence to safety protocols essential. Additionally, working within tight deadlines to prepare spaces for client inspection or occupancy is common, so time management and teamwork with contractors and other trades are important. Adapting to different site conditions and client expectations is a regular part of the role.

WHAT WE DO: Our company professionally cleans residential and commercial properties repeatedly, one-time cleanings such as move-in and move-outs, post-construction cleaning, deep cleaning projects, office cleaning, and specialized organizational projects. We also work with several Air BnB owners to clean their units between guests. We help so many people who either cannot physically do the cleaning they have done in the past, do not have the time to keep up, or just prefer spending time on something else.
CUSTOMERS OFTEN REWARD OUR EMPLOYEES WITH $5 to $30 TIPS FOR A JOB WELL DONE! Holiday bonuses happen frequently too! So, if you work hard and do an exceptional job, your hourly pay is only part of your income!

Often our clients tell our cleaners how much they appreciate and need us. To us, it’s not just about cleaning, it is about helping to create a healthy environment for the people we serve.
Most often we try to schedule appointments near your residence but there are times you will travel outside of your area. We serve Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, and Utah counties currently.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking for an ambitious and well-organized individual with future leadership potential, with professional cleaning experience. On-the-job training is provided. We are a newer company that is growing fast and plans to expand within the coming year. The person we hire will have the potential to move into a trainer, and crew lead position quickly. The position is currently part-time based on performance and willingness to lead and train others.
Attention to detail is extremely important as we provide very high-quality cleaning services for both residential and commercial clients. This quality is key for our company's growth and is why we regularly get referrals for additional business.
Reliability is an absolute must. The employee will be scheduled appointments where they are expected to be there at a certain time and efficiently complete the job accurately within a certain pre-determined time. Often, on larger jobs, the employee is part of a team, and the total appointment time is calculated based on having every member of the team there.
We are looking for someone with very good people skills, friendly yet professional level communication skills, trustworthy in every way, with schedule flexibility. We will also work with your schedule as needed. The individual must be willing to follow instructions, take professional advice, and truly be committed to providing very high-quality and detailed services. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma is preferred but not necessary. No college is necessary. However, the applicant must have the ability to learn new skills, become efficient, and take learning very seriously.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Requires MINIMUM OF 6 MONTHS RESIDENTIAL CLEANING experience. Leadership experience is a definite plus, experience cleaning your own home over the years qualifies as a level of experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is a very physically active job where lifting, bending, stooping, visual acuity, mental organization and coordination, balance, and moving are all very necessary to be efficient.
