Job description

Job Title: Master Level Mental Health Counselor / Registered Intern

Job Description: The candidate will provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services to youth aged 11 to 18, both individually and with families. The candidate must have experience delivering trauma-informed care, completing biopsychosocial assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, managing and optimizing treatment settings, and completing documentation promptly.

Qualifications: The candidate must hold a master’s degree in social and behavioral health sciences, be a Registered Intern, or have a license to practice in Florida. They must have experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health and substance abuse issues in youth and families. The population served includes youth and families involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice. The candidate must have experience providing individual and family mental health and substance abuse counseling services to adolescent and adult clients. The candidate must possess the following:

• Must have a master’s degree in social and behavioral healthcare or be a Registered Intern in Florida.

• Requires 1-3 years of experience in completing biopsychosocial assessments.

• Must have 1-3 years of experience diagnosing and treating mental health issues using dialectical and cognitive behavioral Counseling or other applicable treatment methods.

• Must have at least two years of experience in providing substance abuse counseling, along with knowledge of addiction concepts and principles, the 12 steps of recovery, and other relevant clinical approaches and methods.

• Requires 1 to 3 years of experience in developing and implementing treatment plans.

• Must be accurate and punctual with clinical documentation and record-keeping.

• Must be able to use Microsoft Office Word.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

• Must be willing and able to travel at least 25 miles for paperwork, signing, and initial assessment.

• Must be able to pass level 2 background checks through local law enforcement, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the FBI.

Service Reimbursement Schedule:

• Evaluation and Diagnostic Assessment: $125.00 per unit.

• Individualized Treatment Plan: $35.00 per unit.

• Clinical Case Management: $25,00 per unit.

• Drug Urinalysis: $20.00 each.

• Monthly Progress Report: $12.00 per unit.

• Discharge Report: $40.00 per unit.

• Legal Testimony: $100.00 per hour, not to exceed 5 hours.

• Individual Counseling: $18.75 per quarter hour, $75.00 per 60-minute session, or $112.5 per 90-minute session.

• Family Counseling: $22.00 per 15 minutes, $88.00 per 60-minute session, and $132.00 per 90-minute session.

Type of Position: Part-time - 1099 Contractor. Up to 15-20 client caseload.
