About the Role Poshmark is seeking a Senior Counsel, Commercial to join our Legal team and serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders throughout the organization. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will lead the company's commercial legal function and drive commercial transactions, from structuring and negotiating agreements to advising on legal and business risks. You will also provide product counseling and support privacy-related initiatives as Poshmark continues to evolve its platform. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, a business-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including partnerships, technology, professional services, marketing and advertising, and vendor agreements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support commercial transactions and strategic initiatives, providing clear and practical legal guidance
  • Manage and continuously improve contract lifecycle processes, including identifying opportunities to streamline workflows through CLM tools (Ironclad) and AI-enabled solutions
  • Develop and maintain templates, playbooks, policies, and scalable legal processes
  • Provide legal counsel to product and technology teams on new features and product launches
  • Advise on data privacy and security matters, primarily in connection with data processing agreements and related contractual terms, and support broader privacy compliance initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active California bar membership (or qualified for Registered In-house Counsel status with the California state bar)
  • 6+ years of relevant legal experience, with both law firm and in-house experience
  • Ability to independently draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements with minimal oversight
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Ironclad) or a willingness to learn, and an interest in process improvement
  • Working knowledge of data privacy and security concepts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting product or technology teams on legal guidance related to product development or launches
  • Experience with consumer platforms or marketplace business models
  • Experience advising on privacy compliance
  • Familiarity with sweepstakes, promotions, or marketing-related legal requirements
  • A collaborative team player, willing to take on a broad range of matters as part of a lean legal team
