POS Analyst

Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid โ€“ 4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Position Overview

We are seeking a POS Analyst with strong hands-on experience supporting Oracle MICROS Simphony STS Gen 2 environments. This role will play a key part in a large-scale point-of-sale transformation initiative, modernizing and enhancing integrations that support customer-facing ordering and payment systems across hundreds of locations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with enterprise POS platforms, API integrations, and legacy system modernization efforts. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to highly visible initiatives that directly impact mobile ordering, kiosk, web, and in-store transaction experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain Oracle MICROS Simphony STS Gen 2 integrations and POS solutions.
  • Participate in the migration of legacy STS Gen 1 (SOAP/XML) interfaces to STS Gen 2 (REST/JSON) architecture.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve POS integration issues across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support ongoing POS enhancements and modernization efforts.
  • Assist with system testing, validation, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Document integration processes, technical requirements, and system configurations.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and scalability.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Oracle MICROS Simphony STS Gen 2.
  • Strong understanding of POS systems and integration technologies.
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and modern integration frameworks.
  • Knowledge of SOAP/XML integrations and experience supporting migration efforts from legacy platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise-level applications and integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with .NET technologies.
  • Previous experience supporting large-scale retail, hospitality, food service, or transaction-based environments.
  • Familiarity with digital ordering platforms, kiosks, mobile applications, and payment processing systems.
