Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and configure integrations between POS/ECOM sales systems and SAP (including SAP CAR and S/4 IS-Retail), using SAP Integration Suite, to ensure accurate and timely transaction data flow between store systems and backend SAP processes.
  • Develop and maintain Real-Time Inventory integrations across POS, ECOM, and SAP, by configuring and monitoring data synchronization pipelines, to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent overselling or stock discrepancies across channels.
  • Implement and support Omnichannel Article Availability (OAA) and Omnichannel Stock Availability (OSA) solutions, by configuring SAP CAR and related integration components, to provide accurate, real-time product availability across online and in-store channels.
  • Perform SAP configuration required to support sales integrations (e.g., SAP CAR, S/4 IS-Retail settings related to POS/ECOM), by analyzing functional requirements and translating them into system configuration, to ensure SAP accurately reflects and supports store and digital sales processes.

  • Partner with Business/Systems Analysts and Store Operations stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, by participating in requirements sessions and providing technical feasibility input, to ensure delivered solutions meet operational needs.
  • Design and execute unit, integration, and performance testing for sales integration solutions prior to deployment, by developing test cases and validating data accuracy across systems, to ensure reliability and prevent production issues.
  • Monitor integration performance and system health across POS/ECOM-to-SAP data flows, using monitoring tools within Integration Suite, to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or failures before they impact stores or customers.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and integration architecture for sales integration solutions, by maintaining clear technical specifications and runbooks, so solutions are maintainable and support knowledge transfer across the engineering team.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and rollouts involving SAP CAR, Integration Suite, and POS/ECOM platforms, by contributing technical design and configuration expertise, to ensure new capabilities are delivered reliably and on schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of software engineering experience, with progressively increasing technical responsibility.
  • Minimum 3 full-cycle SAP implementations involving SAP CAR, POS and ECOM solutions, including experience applying SAP Activate methodology across implementation phases.
  • Experience designing and configuring integrations using SAP Integration.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP CAR, including data model and integration touchpoints with POS and ECOM.
  • Experience with Real-Time Inventory integration patterns and architecture.
  • Experience implementing Omnichannel Article Availability (OAA) and/or Omnichannel Stock Availability (OSA).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, or equivalent components).
  • SAP configuration experience related to S/4 IS-Retail and/or SAP CAR.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA IS-Retail Master Data, including Article Master, Merchandise Categories, Sites, and Vendor/Customer Master

  • Working knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and its application across full project lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with POS and ECOM system architecture and transaction flows.
  • Understanding of API design, middleware patterns, and event-driven/real-time data integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system technical issues.
  • Ability to translate business/functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Business Analysts, Store Operations).
  • Experience working in agile/iterative development environments, including SAP Activate's iterative delivery approach.
