SUMMARY
Assist in the operation of cigarette manufacturing and packaging process, load and unload packaging materials, help facilitate efficient production of high-quality tobacco finished goods. Employees are responsible for duties in assigned areas and cross-training for coverage in additional departments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Operator with set-up on production equipment per detailed work instructions.
  • Ensure the proper materials are used, as per scheduled guidelines and brand requirements.
  • Inspect packaging of product to ensure quality is maintained within established quality guidelines.
  • Communicate with other employees and supervision to ensure proper materials are being used.
  • Support and maintain a proper level of materials to ensure adequate supply and maintain production.
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge regarding various duties and various department guidelines.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow-through.
  • Flexibility to function in a fast paced and innovative environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Experience:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
  • Forklift experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be visually capable to distinguish differences in color and wording on product and to detect non-tobacco related materials.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • This role is based on a fast-paced, climate-controlled production environment.
  • Requires standing for extended periods and exposure to manufacturing noise.
  • Must follow all safety, hygiene, and PPE (personal protective equipment) protocols.
