Job Description

U.S. Bank is searching for an experienced credit professional to join our dedicated Insurance Premium Finance (IPF) Credit Portfolio Management team.
The Credit Portfolio Manager partners with Relationship Managers to successfully manage and grow IPF credit relationships. This includes partnering with internal and external clients to support retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers and supporting growth opportunities that align with the business strategy.
Primary responsibilities include:
Fulfill underwriting requirements while providing accurate, timely and conclusive credit memos
Perform due diligence on prospective borrowers and new opportunities and assist in preparing the initial reviews
Coordinates work with, Credit Risk Management and other groups, promoting consistent quality and conciseness of credit documents and streamlining work flow among underwriting, credit approval and Credit Risk Management
Participates and contributes in credit approval discussions
Participates in joint client calls with relationship managers, clients and advisors.

Performs timely covenant compliance and collateral valuation updates
Assists relationship managers in working with internal and external legal counsel reviewing and ensuring accuracy of credit agreements
Assists relationship managers in loan structuring to win without undue risk to Bank
Understand and comply with all U.S. Bank Credit Policies and Procedures
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Thorough credit underwriting knowledge with experience in complex individual underwriting.

Thorough understanding of credit standards, policies, procedures, government agency compliance (Reg B, H, O, etc.)
IPF product experience preferred but not required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Well-developed written communication and verbal presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
Has aptitude to work on several time sensitive deals, projects and tasks at one time in a fast paced environment.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
