Manager, Portfolio Finance

Locations: Palm Beach Gardens, FL | New York, NY | London, UK | Hybrid

SS&C, through our partnership with Lighthouse Investment Partners, LLC, is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Portfolio Finance to join the Portfolio Finance team supporting a global, multi-strategy investment platform with over $18.4B in AUM. This role is responsible for core treasury and portfolio finance functions across Lighthouse-managed funds, including margin, financing, cash management, and balance sheet optimization across a multi-PM, multi-asset class platform.

About the Role

The position works closely with Investment, Risk, Legal, Implementation, Technology, Operations, and external counterparties to optimize financing structures, manage margin and funding risk, enhance treasury technology, and support fund launches and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

This position will also be responsible for continuing to enhance our portfolio finance technology infrastructure in order to more efficiently assess overall margin/funding and financing opportunities/issues during implantation and ongoing monitoring of our multi PM platform.

How You Will Make an Impact

Hedge Fund Treasury Function

  • Support the treasury and portfolio finance function across Lighthouse core businesses, including commingled funds, strategic custom funds, and multi-PM hedge fund platforms.
  • Provide margin, financing, and cash management oversight across multi-asset class portfolios including equities, fixed income, derivatives, futures, FX, and OTC products
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with Prime Brokers, FCMs, custodians, and other counterparties for margin, financing, and funding discussions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams on fund launches, manager onboarding, capital deployment, and counterparty setup.

*Treasury and Portfolio Finance functions are expected to include (but not limited to):

  • Technology automation projects
  • Margin and funding analysis
  • Manage financing rates: monitoring spreads, reducing short borrow costs, revenue generating opportunities for the Funds' long portfolios
  • Optimize the balance sheet across custodial relationships
  • Manage dividend exposures for European and Asian portfolios
  • Support and enhance the securities locate and stock borrow process, including daily analysis of financing markets and active securities.

System Building & Management

  • Support the Portfolio Finance team's effort in automating the Treasury Function
  • Assist in the build out of Treasury System via two already-approved third party vendors focused on the aggregation, calculation, and optimizing of financing and margin
  • Lead the development and implementation of an internal securities lending infrastructure for Lighthouse internal PMs.

Cross Functional Organization

  • Partner with the Counterparty Management Committee on relationship oversight, exposure allocation, and counterparty risk management.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Implementation teams on onboarding new managers, including margin, funding, and counterparty analysis.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • 5-8+ years of experience within Prime Brokerage, Clearing, or a hedge fund environment - specifically in a treasury, stock loan, and/or client service role
