Automotive Lot Porter / Detailer

The Lot Porter/Detailer supports both the sales and service departments by ensuring vehicles are clean, organized, and properly positioned for customers and staff. Responsibilities include safely transporting vehicles, maintaining an orderly lot, and supporting overall dealership operations to ensure smooth and professional customer experience.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with cars, have strong driving skills, and want to be part of a high-performing automotive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles (wash, vacuum, and wipe down interiors and exteriors).
  • Support customers and all employees with retrieving vehicles, shuttling, or delivering cars to customers while providing friendly service. Runs various errands for the dealership.
  • Vehicles must be inspected for damage before and after service or transport and report any issues to management.
  • Parking lot - make sure vehicles are parked properly and organized. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and keeping the lot clear.
  • Showroom – must keep the showroom vehicles clean and dust free.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 18 Years Old
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Must be willing to submit a background check and drug screen

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to various weather conditions while working outdoors.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods.
  • Fast-paced environment with frequent vehicle movement.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.

Experience:

  • Detailing cars: 1 year (preferred)
  • Car Wash / Porter: 1 year (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
  • Saturday (8:30am to 5pm) (every other, and when you work Saturday you will be off the following Monday)

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
