About the Company:
Mercado's Construction Clean Up Inc. D/B/A Purple Heart Portable Restrooms amp; Mercado’s Dumpster Service is a family owned and operated business established in 1996 in Charlotte, NC. Mercado’s offers a comprehensive range of services to customers from Dumpster rentals and service; to include service for our subsidiary company Purple Heart Portable Restrooms.
Job Description:
This role will require a self-motivated individual to manage a truck and route providing services to our jobsite portable restroom customers. This includes operating a Medium duty sized truck with a lift gate and pump system, lifting heavy equipment, cleaning/servicing equipment, and ensuring our customers receive top quality customer service.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
  • Be able to follow safe operating practices.
  • Be able to learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service.
  • Be able to read and comprehend reports well enough to complete daily assignments.

  • Must be able to drive a portable toilet service truck, observing legal and defensive driving practices. Required motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
  • Hear and see in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Physically able to bend, continuously, at the waist and knees. To perform the essential functions of the job, the following physical abilities are required:
    • exhibit normal range of body motion.
    • ability to enter and exit, repetitively, service truck to perform services on one or multiple units per stop.
    • ability to climb to top of service truck to strap down empty toilets, and ensure load is secured prior to departure.
    • Ability to regularly push or pull independently (unassisted) up to 50 pounds routinely, and frequently push or pull up to 100 pounds. Occasionally and independently (unassisted), move/push up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability to work in usually loud conditions.
  • Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.
  • Physically able to work 8 to 12 hours in inclement weather conditions; will be exposed to a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations including heat, cold, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors as weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
