TWIC Escort employees must: 

  • Possess a valid TWIC.
  • Safety-toed boots/shoes.
  • Do Not Use cellular phones while on duty.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions. 

TWIC Escort/Trailer Inspection Job Description:

  • Maintain visuals on all persons/vehicles within the staging area and terminal footprint. 
  • Never leave the duty assignment unless relieved by another qualified flagger or supervisor
  • Maintain visuals on all inbound vehicles to the staging area.
  • Direct and monitor all vehicles entering and leaving the staging area. 
  • ensure drivers maintain the correct direction and are traveling from one flagger to the next
  • Upon travel departure, ensure drivers leave the Seaonus property and are escorted to the main gate.
  • Ensure no driver or occupant leaves their truck for any reason other than an emergency or to utilize the port-o-let within the staging area (ensure they return to their trucks when finished)
  • Challenge any pedestrian seen within or along the perimeter of the staging area.
  • Report any person seen outside of their truck (unless they are directly at their truck conducting related business or under the direction of a enstructure employee report any Seaonus flagger not maintaining their job duties properly.
  • Must enter trailers and perform visual checks to ensure the floors are free from debris, oil, and/or any foreign objects or materials that could potentially damage cargo. Additionally, conduct a visual inspection of the trailer’s sidewalls, front wall, and doors to ensure there are no holes present that could potentially allow water or moisture to enter and damage the cargo. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to regularly stand, walk long distances, and talk and hear. 
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms to grab, handle, or feel, and reach.
  • Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders or stairs. 
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds, with assistance or lifting machinery as necessary. 
  • Must wear Seaonus required safety PPE, Safety vest, hardhat, gloves, etc. 
  • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Working indoors and outdoors. 
  • Excessive heat or cold, extreme weather conditions, excessive humidity or dampness, or chilling. 
  • Slippery and uneven walking surfaces. 
  • Work around moving objects, vehicles, and moving machinery/heavy equipment. 

7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Weekends and Holidays as needed, Overtime, and extended schedules of 6 to 7 consecutive days during peak operations.
