Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Quality Inspector Level 1 in El Monte, CA. The Quality Inspector Level 1 is responsible for conducting basic inspections of manufactured spring products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail and a foundational understanding of measurement tools and technical documentation within a precision manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $17 to $24 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished spring products.
  • Utilize basic precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions.
  • Compare finished products against blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications to identify non-conformances.
  • Document inspection results accurately in quality logs and electronic reporting systems.
  • Segregate defective materials and initiate non-conformance reports for review by senior quality personnel.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using handheld precision measurement tools including calipers and micrometers.
