Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking an organized, dependable, and customer-focused Logistics Coordinator to manage freight shipments from booking through delivery and billing. The ideal candidate will coordinate with customers, carriers, drivers, and warehouses to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient transportation services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate freight shipments from pickup through final delivery.
  • Source carriers and negotiate competitive freight rates.
  • Dispatch drivers and schedule pickup and delivery appointments.
  • Track shipments, monitor ETAs, and provide status updates.
  • Resolve shipment delays, service issues, and customer concerns.
  • Verify carrier compliance, insurance, and operating authority.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, bills of lading, PODs, invoices, and rate confirmations.
  • Review carrier invoices and assist with customer billing.
  • Coordinate various freight types, including dry van, flatbed, drayage, hotshot, oversized, and specialized loads.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams.
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, dispatching, or supply chain.
  • Experience negotiating carrier rates and coordinating freight shipments.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and email.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), DAT, Truckstop, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with flatbed, drayage, port operations, or warehouse logistics is preferred.
