Funko is a purveyor of pop culture, making and selling license-focused collectibles. We currently hold hundreds of licenses for franchises ranging from Marvel to Harry Potter, giving us the rights to create tens of thousands of characters - one of the largest portfolios in the pop culture and collectibles industry. We take your favorite characters and turn them into adorable, or sometimes scary, collectible figures. Our most famous line, Pop! Vinyl, has millions of fans around the world.

What You’ll Do
  • Accurately forecast trends and monitor performance to establish overall product assortment strategy.
  • Possess strong passion for multiple facets of Pop Culture to drive fan-centric product strategies.
  • Partner with the Planning team on sales goals, inventory levels and quantities purchased.
  • Demonstrate exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Sourcing, Creative and Planning to realize the vision of the product strategy and deliver against go-to-market timelines.
  • Partner with Licensors to represent the Brand and advocate for product strategies that meet financial obligations.
  • Establish and implement strategies that have short to mid-term impact on business results in alignment with parent/corporate organization objectives.
  • Lead a team of merchants and drive people development to optimize each individual’s performance.
  • Develop short to mid-term plans for optimizing the organization, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies in job area.
What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of product development/merchandising experience, preferably in the consumer goods industry. Multi-category experience preferred, with a priority for experience in Toys and micro-collectibles
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising or equivalent
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to set challenging goals and work through others to achieve results
  • Ability to build business relationship across departments and foster a culture of collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills: demonstrated ability to drive analysis into action
  • Flexible, self-starter, and comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Desire for a high level of responsibility and ownership and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Creative problem solver and solutions provider.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects; detail oriented and organized.
Salary Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $131,000 - $175,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

This onsite position is based in Burbank, CA. Local candidates will be considered first.
