Job description

Our top rated programs have developed throughout the years to create bonds with our canine family members and give them the best quality of life possible. We guide our pack in practicing proper decision making skills, polite socialization and public etiquette. WolfPack Adventures provides fun and comfort for your pup, while building trust through reliability and communication with parents.

Job Descriptions:

Handlers pick-up and drop-off dogs on their assigned routes in a safe and timely manner. Appropriate conduct and thoughtful communication with the WolfPack Team and dog parents is expected at all times.

Handlers ensure that they will properly utilize and be equipped with the tools provided, including:

  • work belt, clips, leashes, poop bags, slip leads, various collars, harnesses, head harnesses, dog harness bag, and collapsible dog bowls.

Handlers must learn and understand the basics of canine training. This includes:

  • loose leash walking, proper physical and verbal corrections, proper sit and stay protocol

This is vital while adventuring with dogs on public or private hiking trails and on walking paths.

Handlers pick up poop! During adventures poop bags are used, and at daycare a dog poop scoop is used. Prompt disposal of the waste is required and expected.

Handlers supervise dogs during free-play, must learn and recognize unwanted behaviors (e.g. overbearing play, mounting, aggression), and correct the dog’s behavior accordingly. Handlers are accountable for intervening before escalation of such behaviors.

Handlers may be asked to assist with other sanitization or other miscellaneous tasks (cars, kennels, etc.)

Qualifications:

Good work ethic and reasonable sense for urgency.

Physically fit enough to lift up to 50 lbs.

Physically fit enough to walk, climb and stand.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Willing to learn and work as a team.

Good attitude.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
