Job description

The Hillsboro Club, an exclusive oceanfront private residence club in South Florida is seeking an experienced Pool & Beach Attendant to support the F&B Department at our beautiful property. This position is responsible for maintaining the beach and pool facilities, completing all setups in a timely manner, keeping amenities fully stocked, assisting members with their needs, and providing food and beverage service with exceptional hospitality.

The Club operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The ideal candidate for this role must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is a part-time opportunity with an hourly compensation of $20.00, paid biweekly, along with opportunities for advancement within the company.

General Requirements

  • Prepare and complete all special request setups on both the north and south ends of the beach.
  • Prepare and arrange beach furniture, umbrellas, and towels based on occupancy levels and manager direction, ensuring a seamless and fully completed setup before guest arrival.
  • Create and maintain a designated kids’ section near the lifeguard stand, including toys and sand art.
  • Setup side stations and complete assigned preparation tasks to support  food and beverage service operations.
  • Rake seaweed and remove debris from the beach during the morning shift.
  • Monitor beach and pool areas for cleanliness and safety; promptly address hazards.
  • Perform towel art and regularly wipe down beach chairs.
  • Blow leaves off the pool deck using a blower; sweep showers, staircases, and the boardwalk.
  • Pick up trash and debris from the pool and beach areas; empty and sanitize trash bins.
  • Wash and sanitize trash bins, gutters, tables, and railings at the pool area.
  • Maintain knowledge of club policies and beach safety guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Restock all three cabanas throughout the day.
  • Collect dirty towels, chair covers, and other linens; deliver to Housekeeping for pickup.
  • Wash, fold, and organize towels if needed.
  • Ensure all beach and pool amenities are replenished, including toys, towels, and other supplies.
  • Greet all members and guests warmly as they arrive at the beach or pool area.
  • Assist with seating arrangements, offer additional furniture, and ensure a comfortable experience.
  • Inform members of current weather conditions and reinforce pool and beach rules professionally.
  • Provide food and beverage service in accordance with club standards; assemble and serve meals, ensuring proper account and billing details.
  • Assist members with water sports equipment and ensure proper usage.
  • Support special beach events and activities as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Assist in closing the beach and pool areas, including collecting towels, toys, and trash.
  • Secure furniture and ensure all areas are clean and orderly for the next day.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma / GED.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or beach service preferred.
  • The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Alcoholic beverage certification.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
