Job Summary

The Cook/Server provides exceptional hospitality to members and guests at the club’s pool and snack bar area. This role is responsible for preparing and cooking casual menu items while simultaneously taking orders, serving beverages, and maintaining a pristine poolside environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items (e.g., burgers, sandwiches, salads) according to standardized recipes and sanitation standards.
  • Member Service: Greet members by name, take food and beverage orders accurately, and suggestively sell menu specials.
  • Order Management: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process member charges and ensure accurate billing.
  • Alcohol Service: Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state laws and club policies, including checking IDs.
  • Facility Maintenance: Perform daily setup and breakdown of the snack bar, including restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and clearing poolside tables.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all health code regulations, food safety protocols, and club safety standards to ensure a secure environment for guests.


Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen or serving role is preferred; private club experience is a plus.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain or possess Food Handlers and alcohol service certifications (e.g., T.I.P.S. or ServSafe).
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods and work in outdoor conditions (heat/humidity) while lifting up to 30–50 lbs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A friendly, professional demeanor with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays throughout the pool season.
