As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will:
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and provide a positive, professional first impression
Escort clients and their pets into exam rooms and communicate effectively with veterinary staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care
Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate records in the system
Collect and update patient information to ensure medical records are current
Answer and direct multiple phone lines promptly and courteously
Handle client inquiries regarding services, products, or general pet care information
Assist with prescription refills and relay information between clients and the veterinary team as needed
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and exam rooms
Assist with pet supply purchases (supplements, grooming items, over the counter treatments, or other items)
Support the team with daily administrative or client services tasks as needed
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent customer service and organizational skills including professional and polished phone etiquette
Reliable and flexible to Resort schedule needs including weekends and holidays as these are our busiest times
Must be comfortable handling working around dogs of all sizes and cats
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Ability to manage a high volume of phone calls with professionalism and accuracy
Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems
Ability to remain calm and empathetic in fast-paced or stressful situations
