Job Description

As a Pool Attendant you are responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The incumbent is also responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the spa and pool facilities.

The Pool Attendant:

  • Provides superior guest service, positively effects interactions with guest and team members, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with team members. Assists guests with questions or problems, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Oversees and supervises activities in swimming pool areas.
  • Monitors activities and maintains order in swimming areas.
  • Monitors and inspects swimming pool operations for safety, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Assists in hiring, disciplining, monitoring, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating of assigned personnel. Participates in employee training to ensure adequate training skills and resources are in place to perform job functions.  Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Monitors and inspects removal of used laundry and trash from room.
  • Monitors and inspects work in all areas of cleaning according to accepted standards and techniques, proper and safe use of machines and chemicals, and guest services standards
  • Reports hotel room facility problems related to structure, equipment, and plumbing to management.
  • Monitors and inspects that dressing and shower rooms are supplied with all hard and soft goods in compliance with company policy.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of swimming pool practices and procedures.
  • Familiar with a variety of swimming pool concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrates extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment and other jurisdictions
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
