Float Pool Registered Nurse: We are looking for a dynamic Float Pool Registered Nurse. You will provide direct and indirect patient care to our patients with compassion and respect. You will communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Must be willing to float to all units.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both accomplished in partnership with patient inside room)
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population.
  • Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients. Accurately assigns triage categories.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring identifies dysrhythmias and treats appropriately based upon ACLS protocol.
