Job Overview:

The Pool & Spa Specialist (PSS) will manage the pool, hot tub and swim spa division of their location, and will sell them by understanding the characteristics, features, and benefits of the pools and spas that we sell. The PSS is responsible for the effective execution of all pool and spa related sales and customers at their location plus the sales plans, profitability, operating procedures, and all merchandising objectives related to the location’s pools, hot tubs and swim spas. The PSS oversees to ensure that all team members are proficient with the right competencies to sell pools and hot tubs. The PSS captures leads, follows up on sales leads, and closes sales. The PSS will also sell at home shows, tent sales and off-site events.

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of the store’s pool, spa and swim spa sales performance.
  • Meet or exceed sales budget.
  • Meet or exceed your gross margin budget for the fiscal year.
  • Drive customer count increase over last year.
  • Convert Leads into Deals while maintaining business relationships with our customers.
  • Follow up on all sales leads captured yourself and by all other team members.
  • Able to sell luxury product lines around the concept of Health and Relaxation.
  • Create revenue growth within their location by following up with every lead in a timely manner and tracking progress per company guidelines. This involves multi-channel communication with customers (Phone/Text/Email/Social)
  • Monitor the performance of KPI's in all aspects of the business and able to create a strategy to remedy opportunities as they arise
  • Ability to hold self to the highest standard of professionalism and accountability around company policies and procedures
  • Facilitate and supervise daily operations of the pool and spa sales division at a store to make sure that team members work together effectively to make sales and contribute to proper procedures.
  • Sell all products by understanding the characteristics, features, and benefits of the products that we sell.
  • Close sales with enthusiasm and the understanding of closing techniques.
  • Train to understand lead management and POS software systems.
  • Understand all operating procedures, train team and execute as written.
  • Provide customer service and interact with customers who have an issue or need support with a purchase, return, delivery or installation.
  • Develop new customers and maintain rapport with previous customers resulting in referrals and rave reviews.
  • Handle customer care scenarios calmly and logically with the customer and company in mind for win-win outcomes.
  • Work with Spa Delivery Manager, Service Manager and installation company to ensure all customers’ needs are taken care of in a timely manner.
  • Communicate pool, spa and swim spa inventory, delivery, installation and product information from leadership to store team members.
  • Oversee to ensure that all team members are proficient with the right competencies to sell pools, hot tubs, swim spas, grills and saunas.
  • Continually coach and train seasoned team members to help them sell the large ticket items and capture leads.
  • Communicate with General Manager and Assistant Manager to maintain productivity at all times.
  • Ensure all current company pool, spa, and swim spas marketing materials and displays are always available to assist with sales.
  • Merchandising, signage and price tags.
  • Assist with approved social media messages for continued growth and success.
  • Seek ways to better promote the store, the product lines and services within the store.
  • Sell at home shows, tent sales and off-site events.
  • Practice all company policies.
  • Uphold and follow the mission statement and statement of values

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of sales experience, large ticket items preferable
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and qualify their requirements
  • Salesmanship skills- Understand the selling process and customer engagement as it is related to sales
  • Ability to consolidate the sale and walk the customer through every stage of the deal, and close sales
  • Effective time management - Ability to plan and organize your own daily selling activity to secure sales through effective sales lead follow up
