Missions :
The Pool Server/Attendant is responsible for creating an exceptional poolside experience through attentive, personalized service and meticulous care of the pool environment. This role ensures guests enjoy a seamless luxury experience by anticipating their needs, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, and providing prompt food and beverage service while fostering a welcoming, safe, and relaxing atmosphere.
Profile :
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the pool area, provide suggestions based on menu knowledge, and ensure a personal and memorable dining experience.
  • Set up, open, adjust, and secure pool umbrellas, loungers, towels, and other guest amenities to ensure comfort and presentation.
  • Regularly inspect the pool and surrounding areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the day.
  • Remove used towels, dishes, glassware, and debris promptly to preserve an immaculate environment.
  • Monitor the condition of pool furniture, umbrellas, and equipment, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Prepare the pool area for daily operations, ensuring all guest-facing areas are properly arranged and presentation-ready before opening.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests lounging by the pool, ensuring accuracy and attention to special requests or dietary restrictions, and deliver them promptly to guests' poolside or cabana areas and to the highest standard of presentation.
  • Monitor guest needs and proactively offer refills, additional services, or special promotions (e.g., happy hour, poolside snacks), ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Provide information about the menu, pool rules, and any ongoing promotions or events at the pool, and ensure that guests are comfortable by providing them with towels, sunscreen, or other amenities upon request.
  • Upsell menu items such as high-margin drinks, food specials, or bottled water, in accordance with the restaurant's sales goals.
  • Process guest orders through the restaurant's POS system, ensuring that billing is accurate, following the restaurant's credit and cash handling policies, and that any special requests or preferences are noted.
  • Collaborate closely with the other pool servers, bartenders, kitchen hoteliers, and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient service, fulfilling guests orders in a timely and accurate manner contributing to a personalized guest journey.
  • Respond to guest feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional, calm, and solution-oriented manner, and keep management informed of any issues, concerns or requests that require immediate attention and follow-up.
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the pool area, including picking up empty glasses, plates, and debris from guest tables or loungers.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, including poolside safety regulations and ensuring compliance with all legal regulations regarding alcohol service, including verifying guest IDs and adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool service area, such as stocking supplies, refilling condiments, and ensuring proper storage of items.
  • Report any safety or maintenance issues (e.g., pool hazards, broken furniture) to the engineering department for immediate attention.
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, including setting up the pool service area, restocking supplies, and cleaning up after the shift.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the hotel's services, facilities, and amenities to offer recommendations to guests.
  • Uphold the hotel's luxury brand values by providing personalized service and anticipating guests' needs without being intrusive.

What you bring:
  • Minimum 1-2 years' work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.
  • Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
