About the Role:

Position Purpose

The Senior Pool Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing residential and commercial pool equipment while ensuring the highest level of workmanship, safety, and customer service. This position works independently to identify repair solutions, accurately document completed work, and communicate effectively with the Operations and Accounting teams to ensure timely invoicing and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnical Responsibilities
  • Diagnose residential and commercial pool equipment failures and determine the appropriate repair solution.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Repair, replace, and install pool equipment in residential and commercial environments, including:
    • Pumps
    • Filters
    • Heaters
    • Salt systems
    • Pool lighting
    • Pool cleaners
    • Valves
    • Skimmers
    • Plumbing components
    • Automated control systems (IntelliTouch, EasyTouch, etc.)
  • Perform plumbing repairs, tile repairs, equipment upgrades, and assist with pool remodel projects as assigned.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot automated pool control systems.
  • Verify all repairs are completed properly before leaving the job site.
Documentation & Communication
  • Accurately document labor performed, parts used, recommendations, and completed repairs.
  • Submit repair documentation promptly to support timely and accurate customer billing.
  • Communicate repair findings, additional recommendations, and safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers while representing the company in a positive manner.
Safety & Quality
  • Perform all work in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and assigned tools in a clean and organized condition.
  • Complete assigned work orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and report concerns immediately.
  • Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
Teamwork
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Assist and mentor less experienced technicians when needed.
  • Collaborate with Service, Repairs, Construction, and Office staff to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Support other departments during peak workload periods as requested.
QualificationsRequired
  • 5-10 years of experience performing pool equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Commercial pool repair experience.
  • Valid California Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of:
    • Pool plumbing systems
    • Electrical troubleshooting
    • Pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems
    • Salt chlorination systems
  • Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple repair assignments.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to swim.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to provide and maintain required personal hand tools.

  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
