Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our apartment community team in West Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of direct apartment maintenance experience, strong HVAC knowledge, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to residents. HVAC experience is required, and bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of apartment maintenance experience required
  • HVAC certification and hands-on troubleshooting experience required
  • EPA Certification preferred
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in Florida weather conditions

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete resident service requests efficiently and professionally
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, and electrical issues
  • Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers
  • Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property
  • Conduct inspections of buildings, amenities, and common areas
  • Repair drywall, paint interiors and exteriors, and perform basic carpentry tasks
  • Maintain community grounds and ensure curb appeal standards are met
  • Assist with pool maintenance and inspections when needed
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in the on-call rotation
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and OSHA guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members
