ASP of Albemarle County continues to grow and is seeking a solution-oriented and customer-focused Pool Service Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing excellent on-site pool maintenance services and will also be responsible for diagnosing issues with swimming pool equipment and providing solutions.
The ideal person for this position will love to work outdoors and will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight and guidance. This individual will handle all matters with integrity and embrace the concept and requirements of delivering "resort-quality service".
Responsibilities:
Success in this position will be determined by the following measurable results:
  • Diagnose, repair and install pool pumps, heaters, salt systems, filters, lights, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing and iron piping.
  • Assist with pool-related projects, such as opening/closing, safety cover and vinyl liner installations, deck repairs, caulking and pool painting.
  • Properly stock supplies and chemicals on the truck and adjust the water chemistry for pools as needed.
  • Utilize a smart phone to provide internal and external reporting via our mobile software platform.
  • Spot opportunities outside of the repair call, such as upgrading other equipment or adding to the customer experience with other products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Requirements for this position are that you have:
(1) a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preference 21 y/o or older);
(2) the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.; and
(3) a high school degree or equivalent.

No other specific experience is required as we will provide training on the ASP methods designed to give our customers superior value and to maximize your earning potential; however, a willingness to attend equipment trainings and seek out certifications, is preferred.
