Job description

Location: St. Louis, MO

Type: Full-Time or Contractor

The Opportunity

We need a pool technician who already knows what they're doing. Not someone who's eager to learn the basics - someone who can show up on day one, assess a problem, diagnose a leak, make the repair, and leave the customer with more confidence in their system than before. No hand-holding, no extended ramp-up.

This role starts with maintaining and servicing our own facility, then expands into a growing St. Louis customer base as we build out the service side of the business. You'll be the first hire which means what you build here becomes the standard. That's an opportunity that requires someone who operates with genuine ownership.

The full kit comes with you: truck, tools, and supplies are all provided. What you bring is the expertise, the professionalism, and the judgment to handle whatever a job throws at you - from routine maintenance to complex underground leak detection and structural repairs.

What You'll Own
  • Pool & Spa Diagnostics - Perform leak detection across pools, spas, and underground piping systems using pressure testing, acoustic, ultrasonic, and video inspection methods.
  • Full-Cycle Repairs - Execute complete pool and spa repairs, from plumbing fixes and equipment replacement to leak remediation - no need to hand off to someone else.
  • Routine Maintenance - Service and maintain our company's own pool to a high standard, establishing the baseline for how every customer site will be treated.
  • Customer Interaction - Work directly with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters on-site; you represent the business in every conversation you have.
  • Documentation - Complete thorough, accurate job reports for every visit - clear enough that anyone could pick up where you left off.
  • Market Expansion - As the customer base grows, take on additional St. Louis-area accounts and help shape how this service operation scales.
Who You AreExperience & Skills
  • Proven, hands-on experience in pool and spa maintenance, repair, and leak detection - this is not an entry-level position.
  • Deep working knowledge of pool plumbing, filtration systems, and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, including pressure testing apparatus, video inspection tools, and acoustic leak detection devices.
  • Experienced with power tools and comfortable performing physical repairs in varied field conditions.
  • Able to swim and physically capable of lifting up to 100 lbs - this work demands it.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; your reports and your customer interactions both reflect the quality of your work.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Mindset & Traits
  • You take pride in doing the job right, not just done - a sloppy fix isn't a fix.
  • You're comfortable working independently and making judgment calls in the field without needing someone to check your work.
  • You treat customers' homes and properties with respect, show up professional, and leave every job site cleaner than you found it.
  • You communicate proactively - with customers, with the office - because surprises in the field shouldn't become surprises later.
  • You're building something with us, not just filling a role, and you're motivated by the opportunity to own what you build.
Compensation & Logistics
  • Based in St. Louis, MO, with travel throughout the St. Louis metro area and surrounding region.
  • Full-time position; compensation is competitive for experienced technicians.
    • Open to contractor arrangement as well.
  • Company vehicle, tools, and supplies are fully provided.
