Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Prepares food and beverages in a safe and clean manner; maintains a high level of cleanliness and safety with food preparation equipment and dispensers.
  • Keeps the concessions area floor, counters and equipment clean and free of clutter.
  • Assist in setting up and closing the concession stand.
  • Stock inventory and monitor food items and supplies
  • Notifies Concession Manager when food items and supplies are running low.
  • Performs additional related duties as deemed necessary or as required, including potential emergency assistance as directed by Pool Manager or Assistant Manager. Cleans concession area and maintains surrounding area, including inside buildings and restrooms.
  • Attends and participates in all mandatory staff meetings and training.

QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of money and ability to make change with and without cash register.
  • Ability to operate cash registers and food preparation equipment and dispensers.
  • Ability to exhibit honesty and accountability in monetary transactions.
  • Ability to perform first aid and CPR.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with established City and department policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations; ability to stay calm; have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, including abiding by uniform requirements.

** PLEASE NOTE: Must be able to pass CPR/AED/First Aid training. Education and Experience:
  • Current student or received a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licenses and Certifications:
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Tennessee driver's license by date of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Occasional=1-3 Hrs; Frequent=3-5 Hrs; Constant=5-8 Hrs - Per Workday) Frequent exposure to hot and/or humid conditions. Occasional sitting, standing, walking, talking and hearing. Constant usage of arms and hands to reach, handle and feel. Frequently stoops, kneels, crawls, climbs and crouches. Frequent outdoor work in varying climates, temperatures, and weather conditions. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Noise level is noisy when large groups are at the pool.
