Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an inventory of required laboratory supplies for specific courses by communicating with the Instructors and placing orders as needed through the Liberal Arts Administrative Assistant
  • Cleaning, organizing, and proper disposal of materials and biohazardous waste in the lab
  • Prepare Microbiology media for BIOL 251, and BIOL 190 as needed. Maintain cultures for microbiology, including ensuring fresh cultures are ready for each lab in coordination with the instructor
  • Setting up the laboratory for each class exercise, including organization and distribution of equipment, supplies, and handouts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Biology or closely related field (Credits earned in BIOL 190, 191, or 251 AND CHEM 121, or 122 can be substituted for an Associate's degree)

Additional Information
This is a part-time, temporary/seasonal position. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool. As vacancies occur, they are filled from the pool.
